….So we sell Saphir. It’s incredible. Let us fill you in: Saphir is a French polish that is made using a turpentine made of pine, which places it in a league of its own. Not only does the pine give leather an extra silky shine, it also emits a rustic but subtle aroma that will leave them smelling fresh- and who doesn’t want that?!

Hi Maurice. Thanks for your note. The Beacon has Goodyear-welted sole that can be easily replaced. We build it with a full leather sole and a Vibram rubber half sole on top of that. So that double sole should last you years and years, of course thats depends also on how much wear you put on them…. We’d be happy to resole the Beacon for you when the time comes. We re-sole and polish and replace the laces. Just email us at shop@noahwaxman.com when necessary. Right now, that service runs $100.
