West Village 5/Baby Brasa

You know when you’re walking down the street, and a restaurant catches your eye? Most of the time, you don’t actually stop to go in. But then, at the end of the night, when you’re nodding off to sleep, you think of it again…

In the case of Baby Brasa, you should definitely stop to go in, and enjoy not only the ambiance of this new West Village restaurant (its most famous location is in SoHo), but also the delicious eats.

-What to order-

Drinks:

You should definitely get the Chicha Colada- it is tropical, but not just your average cocktail- it includes chicha morada, which is a traditional Peruvian drink made from purple corn. Check it out.Screen Shot 2017-10-06 at 6.01.49 PM.png

Appetizers:

Boli Yuca is a must. They’re essentially tiny yuca balls stuffed with cheese, and fried. They also come with a yellow pepper dip that is to die for.

Another standout is the Rocoto Spicy Hummus. Tasty, and a perfect compliment to the yuca.

Dinner:

They will suggest you try their signature rotisserie chicken, and we couldn’t agree more. It’s so flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Just amazing.

The sides are also delicious- the plantains are a highlight- crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The mint and corn rice are a close second. The lentils are also packed with flavor, and a nice addition to the chicken.
